IN THE GARDEN THIS WEEK I AM ....VEGGIE GARDEN T IN THE GARDEN THIS WEEK I AM ....VEGGIE GARDEN TIP
I am adding a second planting of Broccoli to our veggie garden in the hope that this succession planting will keep us going into spring. I have used mature seedlings (not seeds) and have added additional compost as Broccoli really enjoys that extra organic matter. They are very heavy feeders.IRRIGATION TIP
Even with the cooler temperatures and rain keep your automatic irrigation systema nd lawn pop ups in use. Even if it is only for a few minutes once a week. By running them you will hopefully prevent blockages.GROW TIP
Start thinking about what hardwood cuttings I would like to take. At this time of year hardwood cuttings are best taken from hydrangeas, roses, wisteria, grape vine, edible figs and mulberries.

In this week’s Gardens at a Glance Column we have all the highlights of our week. What is happening in our home garden, our tips for the week and a few garden related recommendations to check out.
This week they are;
🌿A brilliant new podcast @the_sentimental_gardener
🌿A garden event for all to enjoy @warren_open_garden_day
🌿A travel trip if you're in London #thegardenmuseum
🌿A beautiful nursery to visit in person or online @perennialle_plantsIn the last week, Winter has made its presence well and truly known with bitterly cold wet days. It is exactly I think what the gardens needed, especially the rain that accompanied the low temperatures. Some of the glorious autumn leaves are surprisingly still holding on in our garden and around the streets and parks of Young. The autumn foliage is always a highlight in the garden season and actually probably my choice if I had to pick between spring flowers or autumn leaves. Even though I am a sucker for flowers and always love having a fresh vase of flowers in the house, I will always pick the leafy canopies filled with autumn hues than a meadow of flowers. There is something about this change of seasons that always appeals to me.
Recently, we have been sharing a day in the life updates on our instagram. This is basically giving a short update of what lays ahead of us for that days work. It has been really well received with lots of questions about how we go about our day, how we plan out the week and what happens in a gardening/garden design business. We really love what we do so always happy to share and if you interested head over to our Instagram page.As always below are my growing tips for the week and some top recommendations for all things gardeningHope you have a great weekStay warmHappy GardeningGlenicePS.
