03 Mar Autumn Garden Tasks Workshop
I’m very excited to announce that I will be holding a garden workshop at “Glencara” – home to the Rustic Maze next month. It will be a focus on Autumn tasks in the garden. We will discuss what garden tasks you can complete in your garden for Autumn. I will share with you my twenty-five plus years of experience in caring for gardens. We will get back to basics with discussions on weeding, fertilising, mulching and how to identify and treat seasonal garden pests and diseases. I will give you all the tips of what to plant in your garden, vegetable garden and flower patch for Autumn. Now is the time to plant your bulbs so we will feature how to grow spring flowering bulbs. I will demonstrate three different methods of growing bulbs in your garden and for indoors. We will focus on what needs pruning in the garden at this time of year and how to do this. Autumn is also a good time to propagate softwood and semi hardwood cuttings. I will demonstrate how to take these cuttings as well as how to lift and divide perennials, dahlias and succulents.
Following the workshop a light lunch will be provided.
There will be lucky door prizes to be won (including a family pass to an upcoming open day at “Glencara”)
