I love the chill in the air, the colours of the fallen autumn leaves and the patterns they create. It's a perfect opportunity for reflection and to appreciate the changing cycles of the year.

WHY IS AUTUMN THE BEST TIME TO PLANT YOUR GARDEN ? WHY IS AUTUMN THE BEST TIME TO PLANT YOUR GARDEN ?🌿Our daily and over night temperatures are cooler. Reducing the amount of heat stress new plants would have to endure. 🌿 The soil temperatures are still warm allowing new plants to still develop new roots.🌿 Planting now will allow new plants to settle in to gardens, start to grow and become established before the heat of next summer. 🌿You in theory ( maybe not this season)  will need to do less watering on the new plants. Ideally we have cooler temperatures and more rain in autumn. 🌿 Side note/ added advantage the gardener planting won't become as heat stressed 🤣📸 @jenniferhardenphotography

I will share with you my twenty five plus years of experience in caring for gardens.  We will get back to basics with discussions on weeding, fertilising, mulching and how to identify and treat seasonal garden pests and diseases . I will give you all the tips of what to plant in your garden, vegetable garden and flower patch for Autumn. Now is the time to be planting your bulbs so we will feature how to grow spring flowering bulbs.  I will demonstrate three different methods of growing bulbs in your garden and for indoors.
